What nanometers is the wavelength of fiber lasers generally

1, the longest one around 2.8μm (doped Ho3+, Er3+) fiber laser 

This band fiber laser has potential applications in biological, medical and other fields. In addition, the 2.8μm fiber laser can also be used as a pumping light source for middle and far infrared lasers, using the 4I11/2→4I13/2 of Er3+ ions and the 5I6→5I7 of Ho3+ ions to obtain the laser output with a wavelength near 2.8μm. Since the laser emission near 2.8μm requires the substrate material to have low phonon energy and high optical transmittance, fluoride glass is generally used as the fiber substrate. 

2, 2.0μm near (doped Tm3+, Ho3+) fiber laser 

2.0μm laser is a human eye safety laser, in weather monitoring, laser ranging, lidar, remote sensing and other aspects have a wide range of applications. In addition, water molecules have a strong mid-infrared absorption peak near 2.0μm, and using this band laser for surgery is conducive to speeding up blood clotting and reducing surgical trauma. Mid-infrared fiber lasers also have important applications in medical and life science fields. The laser activated particles produced by mid-infrared laser near 2.0μm mainly include Tm3+ and Ho3+ ions. By using 3F4→3H6 of Tm3+ ion and 5I7→5I8 of Ho3+ ion transition emission, the laser output with wavelength of 2.0μm and 2.1μm can be obtained, respectively. 

3, The 1.5μm (Er3+, Er3+/Yb3+) fiber laser 

since the laser output wavelength is located near the 1.5μm optical communication window of the quartz fiber, the laser output performance of Er3+ doping and Er3+/Yb3+ co-doped glass fiber is deeply studied. The development of fiber lasers near 1.5μm has been relatively mature. 

4, At present, the shortest fiber laser near 1.0μm (doped Yb3+, Nd3+) 

fiber laser near 1.0μm has been widely studied due to its application in fiber communication, laser guidance, frequency-doubled laser light source, pump light source and other fields. The doped rare earth ions of fiber lasers near 1.0μm are mainly Yb3+ ions and Nd3+ ions. The Nd3+ ion 4F3/2→4I9/2 laser emission is realized in Nd3+ ion doped fiber, and the laser wavelength is adjustable within 900~945 nm. Then, with the improvement of laser pumping source, Yb3+ ion doped fiber laser has been successfully developed, its laser output wavelength tuning range reached 1.01~1.16μm.
